THE LRM

The Loiterers Resistance Movement

November 2025 First Sunday and beyond

TL;DR I love loitering! Assemble for Novembers First Sunday 2pm 2nd November at Eccles Tram Stop. And please write a review or spread the word about The Feminist Art of Walking if you can, thanks.

Dear friends and loiterers

It’s First Sunday, this Sunday, and so time to wander together again.

First though I’d like to give heartfelt thanks to everyone who came to October’s First Sunday, which was the launch party for The Feminist Art of Walking https://www.plutobooks.com/product/the-feminist-art-of-walking/ It was truly wonderful. Thanks also to all who have joined me on tour –  I’m carrying our conversations with me. I've also loved seeing photos, so please do share any you may have

This Sunday, 2nd November, will start 2pm at Eccles Tram Stop. We’ll be divining the future and hunting for ghosts, finding anchors in the flux and liminality in the sold…. No promises, but we may also see my favourite entry in the book of Diana memorials.

As ever all are welcome, and the only rules are take care of yourself, each other and the environment. And don’t be an arse. The pace and direction will be set collectively and we will walk for around 90minutes – 2 hours.

I am going to do something unusual and share the end point, as I know being out of town can be a stress for some folk. We will finish in the The Lamb Hotel, Eccles Road – very near the tram stop and bus station we started at.

There are some other great things happening this month from friends of The LRM:

PS  I have a small but vital favour to ask please. If you can please, please leave a review of The Feminist Art of Walking on amazon or goodreads or your favourite bookshops website – anywhere you can think of. It would be an amazing help. The power of loiterers and friends is how I hope to spread the word. So, please review, share and if you happen to be on any social media or in the media please post write, broadcast, podcast, paint or dance about The Feminist Art of Walking. I would really appreciate it so much, Thank you xx
